Our Special Education Center based program is a private school placement approved through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Students who receive a private separate school placement through their IEP may attend our program in one of three classrooms listed below. Each classroom provides an individualized small classroom setting in which students' IEPs are implemented using special education and applied behavior analysis best practice strategies.
Each student's programming is developed and implemented by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Certified Special Education Teachers. Programming includes a combination of individual and small group instruction in all major curriculum areas as well as individualized programming for each student's IEP goals. Students receive individualized support from Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or behavior line therapists trained in ABA principles. Related service providers in occupational, physical, speech language and music therapy provide services as determined by each student's IEP team. Each student receives a function based behavior intervention program designed to teach appropriate behaviors and reduce any behaviors that interfere with their learning.
Hours: 9am-3pm Monday through Friday
Classrooms:
1)Foundational Learning Skills classroom for early childhood through elementary school students
2) Essential Skills classroom for elementary through high school students
3)Social Emotional Behavior Support classroom for elementary through high school children
**School district involvement is required for attendance. Students are referred after an IEP meeting in which it is determined that outside placement is necessary to meet the student's needs.
** For more information, please contact Ashley Higdon at 314-305-0041 x2 for details
