OUR APPROACH:
Our mission is to use research based applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to enhance the lives of the individuals we serve through the teaching and development of new behaviors and reduction of problem behaviors. We specialize in serving children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families.
Applied Behavior Services provides cutting edge applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to individuals in St. Louis, St. Charles County, and surrounding areas in a wide variety of settings. These services include:
- Early intensive ABA (applied behavior analysis) intervention programs in the home or our Wentzville center, for children with autism and related developmental disabilities to teach language, academic, social, and adaptive behavior skills.
- Functional behavior assessment and behavior plan development
- Behavior consultation in school, community, employment and home settings to reduce behaviors of concern, teach appropriate and meaningful replacement behaviors, and facilitate increased independence in all areas of life.
- Group and individual trainings and workshops to teach others to successfully use applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to reduce behaviors and teach new skills.
- Ongoing personal care and support for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in home, group and community settings.
OUR VALUES:
- Providing effective treatment to each and every client through the use of evidence based, best practice applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies
- A continuous and comprehensive approach to service
- Emphasis on consistency, collaboration and commitment as the best means to effective instruction
- Providing excellence in client care by addressing the individual and unique needs of each client and their caregivers
- Promoting the use of a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to learning
- Capitalizing on each client’s strengths and interests to make learning fun and meaningful.
- Active involvement of all caregivers to ensure successful learning in all environments
- Providing efficient and cost effective services that lead to lasting behavior change.
- Continuous improvement for all Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other Applied Behavior Services professionals through ongoing training and continuous education.
- Providing effective instruction using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support and teach each client using a warm, open and compassionate approach
OUR APPROACH:
- All ABA services begin with a comprehensive skills and functional assessment to pinpoint excess behaviors and skills in need of development and guide all instruction.
- Ongoing data is then collected and used to develop evidence based individualized instruction to reduce behaviors of concern, teach meaningful replacement behaviors, and adjust instruction as needed.
- Comprehensive and ongoing training on each teaching procedure is provided by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to all staff and caregivers to maximize the efficiency of instruction.
- Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts and other staff communicate frequently with parents, educators and caregivers to ensure all stakeholders have input in every step of the instruction process.
- Services are gradually faded as each client meets their goals. As services are faded, each client and caregiver is provided with the supports necessary to maintain behavior change and ensure a successful transition.
